Glass Workshops

Our workshops with school children of all ages are always surprising - full of life, imaginative and inspiring!

Of course they have to be very well planned because working with glass is not only a new and fascinating experience, but also slightly dangerous!
Hence a Health and Safety talk is always given before any glass workshop, and protective glasses are worn by every child.

Charlotte has been running final workshops this week, for her 2nd Project at Pedmore CofE PS - the leaded window in the school's main hall - creating the children's vision of Noah's Ark.
One of the boys from Reception class, was due to make his rabbit design on Wednesday afternoon. Unfortunately, that morning, he discovered a fox had eaten his own beloved rabbit! Apparently in the morning class, he was inconsolable! Charlotte was really concerned with the prospect of what he had to do in her afternoon session, however, it was quite a relief when he did not make the connection between the two events, and completed his design without further incident.

The hero of the day was Christopher , from the same class - who had created God in his own image. He completed his design amidst cheers from the rest of the class!
Another successful glass workshop which the children loved :)
